The 31 Funniest Manhattan Mini Storage Ads

I set out looking for funny ways to advertise for storage units. I found some great stuff, which I’ll post sometime soon and you will hopefully enjoy as much as I did.

However, one company seems to have the concept of great advertising down pat. Manhattan Mini Storage might have the most consistently funny ads that I’ve seen. Rather than comment on each one, I’ll pretty much just organize them by campaign and show a few of my favorites from each. They’re edgy and clever and politically incorrect. They don’t give a damn who you vote for and if you don’t live in Manhattan, they don’t need you. This is an excellent long-term plan, and has been consistently well done. Read and enjoy. K-State Fans need storage, too!

Kansas State University, or otherwise called K-State, KSU, or Kansas State, is located in Manhattan, KS. Manhattan is refereed to as the “Little Apple”. Founded in 1863, K-State is the oldest public university in the state of Kansas. Based on the 2013 Edition of Best Colleges, Kansas State University is ranked number 139. As a student at K-State, you can chose from more than 250 undergraduate majors and more than 60 master’s degrees. KSU has 9 colleges: agriculture; architecture, planning and design; arts and sciences; business administration; education; engineering; human ecology; technology and aviation; and veterinary medicine.

As part of the NCAA’s Division I, Big 12 Conference, K-State is very successful when it comes to their sports teams! In the 2012-2013 school year KSU was Big 12 Conference Champs in Football, Men’s Basketball, and Baseball. Kansas State’s mascot is the Wildcats. They have only one official color, royal purple.  You might see silver, black or white added to the royal purple! As a Kansas Jayhawk fan it is always fun seeing a crowd with red, blue and purple! Attending the Kansas/K-State is one of the best games to attend! Kansas State University’s rivalry with The University of Kansas is a a passionate one! They have been rivals since the early 1900’s! They play each other in the Sunflower Showdown in both football and basketball each year.

I always love seeing who attended what school! The following were some of the alumni that  I thought was interesting: Actress Kristie Alley, environmental activist (whose story was featured in the movie “Erin Brockovich” staring Julia Roberts) Erin Brockovich, Band member of The Black eyed Peas Tim Izo Orindgreff, Emmy Award winner and actor on ABC comedy “Modern Family” Eric Stonestreet, Father of golfer Tiger Woods and one of the first African Americans to play on a college sports team earl woods, U.S. Senator and current Kansas Governor Sam Brownback, NBA player for the Phoenix Suns Michael Beasley, and NFL player for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Josh Freeman.

Manhattan, KS is a great college town. You could head to a football or basketball game and then head out to one of it’s many restaurants or bars. If sports are not your thing you can always walk the Konza Prairie trails, go to an area lake to look at the stars, or even view the beautiful fall colors from KS Hill or Bluemont Hill. You could also visit one of the many museums there!
