Illinois State University was founded in 1857 and is the oldest public university in Illinois. It is located in the twin cities of Bloomington-Normal Illinois. The University was created as a training school for teachers and according to the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education it is now one of the largest producers of teachers in the Country.
