But this city and state is known for its love of basketball – certainly at the high school level. The movie Hoosiers, with the fabulous actor named Gene Hackman, being one of the all-time best high school basketball movies.
The city is also a center for education in the state. Some of the top universities in the country are located in Indianapolis, like Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), Marian University, the University of Phoenix, and Oakland City University are located here.
